6and no, I didn’t “let” you do it. You used an alternate email account, one from aol?, to create a secondary account.
If it makes you feel better you aren’t the only one who has done it, infact there’s a user with 3 accounts right now that I’m keeping my eyes on.

11Free Rewards (Scooby),
Can’t three people in the same family each have an account? If not, cancel my husband and son….they don’t frequent the site like I do.

13Do you like snickers? I don’t because they have nuts in them. Finally I can talk to you! You never talk to anyone on the site or you just don’t read posts.

15Oh it wasn’t that it bothers me, multiple accounts and the like, but one of three of you were refreshing the page every 3-5 seconds so I had to implement wp-cache. It’s a plugin for Wordpress which caches pages, improves performance, but causes delays in new items like posts, and comments appearing. It *really* slows down the site during the day when we have a couple dozen users refreshing every few seconds, so I usually only have it on during the day. It also consumes a lot of bandwidth.
What won’t slow down the site however is using our rss feeds, which aren’t cached and are always up to date, to see the latest posts. You can set most readers times too, if you want to update every 10 or so seconds, that’s fine with me on RSS. It’s basically a text only feed of new items, if one pops up, you click on it and you’ll go to the exact page, so you wont spend all that time downloading graphics, and page data. You just download the post summary.

17I am having trouble following…I clicked on the RSS feed and it just took me to the comments. Is there a way to “see” the posts faster without refreshing?

18Oh, there are RSS feeds for comments, and a main RSS feed. http://points.darksideinc.org/feed/ is the feed for the main site and will show the 5 latest posts in summary format, along with links to the full version.
If you cant see the link, theres a small bug with CSS I believe, just highlight the blank space in the first paragraph. Load that URL into an RSS feed reader, and update to your hearts content. It downloads less from the server, and stresses the server less. It gets to you quicker, and won’t cause me a big giant bill next month. While the site is ad supported, it doesn’t really pay enough to cover the hosting costs.

19I am so confused….I am not as savvy as you are with computers. What small bug with CSS? What is an RSS feed reader? I would love to update to my hearts content but have no idea to what you are referring. Sorry….not my field of expertise.

24Oh, URLs aren’t showing up the color that I picked for them to show up as, they show up as some kind of off white, that’s the bug. Need to fix that.
To RSS readers, it stands for Really Simple Syndication I believe, and its an external program which will load a simple text file that contains links to posts, and their summaries. You can search on google for rss feed readers, or download.com and they should have a few. http://www.feedreader.com is one too. There’s also Google Reader which is a web based one, but I have no idea how often that updates.
If you use browsers like Firefox, or Flock, they have built in readers, which is quite nice, and even believe IE7 has one built in. But what you want to do is download a feed reader, put this url in ihttp://points.darksideinc.org/feed/ it, and set it to refresh every 10-15 seconds. It’ll download our feed automatically, and if its been updated you’ll know.

25I actually just downloaded feedreader, it’s really nice. Put the url into it, and updated. You can set it up so it updates every 1 minute, and it automagically has a small popup in the corner that tells you when there is a new article
